Machiavillain is a character in the film Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate and the series Megamind Rules! He is the former leader of the Doom Syndicate, but prefers to operate from the shadows, leading up to his big reveal.
He was nearly killed by Megamind, his body destroyed, but his brain survived. He chose to accept his defeat at the hands of Megamind, feeling that it proved Megamind's status as a supervillain, but became enraged upon learning that Megamind had turned to good, resulting him to become the new leader of the Doom Syndicate, gaining a new body, and destroy his former student's reputation.

- His name is a portmanteau of "Machiavellian" and "villain." The former term is used to describe someone who is cunning, scheming and unscrupulous, and is named after the philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli.
- His voice actor, Adam Lambert, also performs the theme song of Megamind Rules!
- Machiavillain’s appearance and Glam Rock aesthetic is heavily based on the musician, David Bowie.
- Machiavillian has heterochromia, a condition in which a person has two different colored eyes. In his case, his left eye is blue while his right eye is red.
- He is the second animated character to have heterochromia, with the first being Bob from the Minions franchise. Coincidentally, their respective franchises are both owned by Comcast.
