The mother of Megamind remains nameless throughout the movie. When her planet was about to be absorbed by a black hole, she and Megamind's father loaded their infant son in a escape pod and sent him off in order to save him. Before sending him off she gave him his minion, who could take care of him while she could not. She perishes along with her partner when the black hole absorbs (and destroys) their planet shortly after Megamind's pod departs.
History
Megamind's mother is only seen in a flashback, when she picks up her infant son from his crib and rushes him to his escape pod's location, where she hands him over to husband. Once their son is inside the pod she hands him a pirahna-like alien fish, which she referred to as his son's "Minion", and promised that it’ll take care of him. She is last seen hugging Megamind's father, reaching out for her son before his pod takes off. She dies along with her husband and their planet when it is swallowed by a black hole. Megamind, only knowing his parents briefly, can only recall that memory, and thinks them to be evil villains due to their abandonment of him.
After Megamind takes over Metro City Minion tells him that his parents must be smiling down from "Evil Heaven".
It’s surmised that Megamind's view of his parents was revised after he learns the full story of the destruction of the Glaupunk Quadrant, and he posthumously apologizes for misjudging them to be villains.
Description
Like Megamind and his father, Megamind's mother has blue skin, a large head and black slim eyebrows. She has emerald green eyes, which Megamind inherited, dark blue lipstick and black nail polish. Her face and body shape are similar to Roxanne's. Like Megamind's father, she wears a white high-collared jumpsuit with glowing turquoise stripes.

- It’s widely believed that either she or Megamind's father created Minion.
